2025 Applications Are Now Open! 

Irrigation E3 Learners

The Irrigation Association’s Irrigation E3 Program supports students and faculty involved in irrigation through exposure, experience, and education. Faculty members can apply to become Irrigation E3 Learners, receiving travel and education support to attend the Irrigation Show and Education Week.  

Selected E3 learners will have the opportunity to: 

  • To ensure you get the most out of the E3 experience, all students are expected to attend at least two education classes during the week and actively participate in scheduled events with program sponsors. 
  • Explore the exhibit floor 
  • Network with peers and industry professionals 
  • Engage with the 2025 E3 program lead sponsor, The Toro Company

Who qualifies as an E3 Learner? 

  • Students who have expressed an interest in an irrigation-related career path 
  • Students enrolled (undergraduate or graduate) at a North American community college, university, or similar institution of higher learning 
  • Students who have taken or are currently enrolled in a class with an emphasis on irrigation 
  •  Students who have not previously been selected as an E3 Learner 
  • Students with a graduation date of December 2025 or later 

Important Dates for 2025 

Application Instructions

  1. Create a SmarterSelect account.
  2. Complete the application form (you can save and finish later). 
  3. Provide the name, email, title, and organization of your department head. 
  4. Your department head will receive an email from SmarterSelect to submit a letter of support. 
  5. Ensure both your application and the letter of support are submitted by September 26, 2025.
