Task Forces

A task force is an ad hoc group appointed by the president, subject to the approval of the board, to perform a specified one-time function or complete a specific project. A task force is automatically disbanded when the project or function is complete. The number and composition of members appointed to a task force will vary depending on the project at hand. At the time a task force is appointed, the president names a chair and a vice chair. A board liaison is named for each task force to facilitate communication between the task force and the board. A staff liaison is also assigned to each task force.

The scope of the project and the roles and responsibilities of the task force members are defined by the president at the time the task force is created.
