Call for Volunteers

Submit your interests and expertise by January 7, 2026.

The IA isn’t just a membership organization. It is a community — a community that thrives on collaboration, shared knowledge and the commitment to advancing efficient irrigation, and IA volunteers play a critical role. IA relies upon the expertise and passion of its volunteers to make meaningful progress on strategic priorities.

Get Involved

  • Advisory volunteer groups play a valuable role in providing external perspectives, specialized knowledge and fresh ideas that support organizational priorities. They provide expertise, insights and recommendations in the form of advisement. Advisory volunteers serve a two-year term, with a maximum of two terms.
  • Working volunteer groups perform timebound tasks, projects or activities that contribute to a specific initiative, activity, program or deliverable. These groups meet as needed to engage in hands-on work tethered to a specific point in time or project and are critical in delivering certain IA programs or services. Working volunteers are selected on an annual basis, based on the needs of the group.
  • The IA also leverages its members for a variety of micro-volunteering opportunities throughout the year. Opportunities include thought leadership, technical expertise, state/regional representation and more. Submit your areas of expertise on the volunteer application.
