Irrigation Association offers portion of Faculty Academy events virtually

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (April 28, 2020) — Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, the Irrigation Association will be canceling the in-person Faculty Academy events in an effort to protect the health and safety of our attendees, instructors and community. In place of the in-person events, the IA will host a series of free live webinars ranging from one to two hours in length. Although it is unfortunate that we are unable to hold the faculty academies in person, we hope that these virtual sessions will reach many instructors and be a resource to educators during these unprecedented times.

Registration for the live webinars will be limited and only available to instructors at high schools, community colleges and four-year universities. All webinars will be recorded and available on our website after the live event.

Join us June 11-12 for a series of agriculture Faculty Academy webinars covering the following topics:

  • Adaptive Irrigation Management Using FARMs
  • Automation & Monitoring Tools for Ag
  • Frost Protection & Overhead Cooling Applications
  • Irrigation Design
  • Remote Sensing & Use of Aerial Imagery in Ag

Join us June 17-19 for a series of landscape Faculty Academy webinars covering the following topics:

  • Irrigation Components
  • Marketplace Trends & Regulatory Updates
  • Pump Sizing 101
  • Teaching Trends & Roundtable Discussion

  • The Why Behind Irrigation

Register for one or all of the webinars by May 15! Please note there is a separate registration for both events.
