2020 Irrigation Show FAQs
Why did the 2020 Irrigation Show and Education Week get canceled?
The decision was made to cancel our show as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Irrigation Association recognizes a responsibility to contribute to a reduction in the spread of the virus and prioritizes the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, partners and staff.
Both the current and likely future environment of economic hardships, travel and uncertainty with the COVID-19 virus has made it clear that not proceeding with the show is the best decision at this time.
What happens now?
We are exploring all possible opportunities to provide as much content normally provided at the show, including IA University and the 2020 New Product Contest, via virtual channels. This also includes giving irrigation professionals access to our valued exhibitors. Participate in our Preferred IA Digital Vendor Directory or explore the many digital offerings to reach your customers directly.
Looking ahead, we invite you to mark your calendars for the 2021 Irrigation Show and Education Week in San Diego when we will have the opportunity to connect in person again!

I’m an exhibitor. Can I expect a refund?
Upon cancellation of the 2020 Irrigation Show on June 1, we will be providing exhibitors with several options to reallocate their 2020 booth investment. The IA depends on the revenue from the Irrigation Show to implement our strategic plan, including our important work in professional development and advocacy. We urge you to use this money to continue customer engagement through our digital offerings.
Will I be contacted directly to discuss reallocation of my 2020 booth payments?
Yes, paid exhibitors will be contacted during the week of June 1-5 in priority point order.
When do I need to decide about my booth reallocation?
Please notify the IA by June 30 with your decision. If we do not hear from you by June 30, we will consider this as a transfer and continue your funds to 2021.
Are there still opportunities to earn priority points this year that will go toward my 2021 booth assignment?
Yes! Points can still be earned through an active 2020 IA membership and magazine advertising. Additional ways to earn points this year include new webinar and sponsorship opportunities.
I purchased a 2020 directory listing. When will the digital directory go live?
The 2020 digital vendor directory will go live on July 1.
