The 2012 Irrigation Faculty Academy will be held June 21 – 22 in Pewaukee, Wis. Agriculture, horticulture, turf and landscape instructors from across the country will spend two days networking and learning about irrigation-related curriculum that can be used in the classroom. This year’s event will include sessions on:
- Basic electricity
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Pumps
- Ag water management
- Alternative water resources
Registration for the event is free to qualified instructors. The Irrigation Foundation provides grant assistance to attendees in an effort to help offset related travel expenses. Grant preference is given to those whose institutions are willing to provide partial financial support to the attendee. Grant applications must be submitted by May 11 for consideration.
