2019 Irrigation Show New Product Contest entries announced

The Irrigation Association is pleased to announce this year’s entries for its annual new product contest showcasing the latest in irrigation innovation.

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (Oct. 23, 2019) — The Irrigation Association is pleased to announce the entries in its annual new product contest. An exciting collection of new irrigation, lighting and specialty products have been entered into the contest and will be featured at the 2019 Irrigation Show and Education Week in Las Vegas, Dec. 2-6.

Each year one of the primary reasons people attend the Irrigation Show is to see what is new, and the new product contest brings these products front and center where attendees can see them up close and get more detailed information. The contest includes the best new product and technology innovations introduced to the agriculture and landscape irrigation markets in the last year. This year’s contest features products in the following categories: agriculture irrigation, landscape irrigation, landscape lighting and specialty.

To view the current listing of the 2019 New Product Contest entries, go to the Irrigation Show website at www.irrigation.org/2019Entries.

“This year’s new product contest has a wide variety of innovative and improved products for the irrigation industry,” said IA Industry Development Director Brent Mecham, CID, CLWM, CIC, CLIA, CAIS. “The industry is incorporating lots of the technology that has been used in other industries to improve the way irrigation is delivered to plants as well as empowering those who manage irrigation systems with better data and ways to respond timely to plant water demands or irrigation system operations.”

During the Irrigation Show, each product will be reviewed by a panel of expert judges and evaluated based on innovation, design quality, increased water/resource-use efficiency, ease of use and product life expectancy.

New this year — judging will take place live on the show floor on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2-5 p.m. Winners will be announced at the general session on Thursday, Dec. 5.
