There is still time to apply for the 2019 Irrigation E3 program! This program provides students and educators with the chance to attend the annual Irrigation Show and Education Week. Applications are due by Sept. 20, and award winners will be notified of their status by Oct. 16. Learn more about the program requirements and how to apply on the website.

Student poster competition

The future of the irrigation industry is bright and will shine this year on the Irrigation Show floor! Students are encouraged to submit posters to present at the 2019 Irrigation Show in Las Vegas on Thursday, Dec. 5.

Students at two- and four-year institutions are eligible to apply. The deadline to submit a name and subject for a poster entry is Oct. 15. Learn more about the poster contest on the Irrigation Show website.

Resume wall

The Irrigation Association is accepting resumes to be featured on the resume wall at the 2019 Irrigation Show. The resource center on the show floor will have a resume wall for the nearly 10,000 attendees to find the new talent that they need. Students must be recent spring 2019 graduates or upcoming graduates (fall 2019 or spring 2020) at a two- or four-year institution to have their resumes posted. Students interested in having their resume displayed should send a copy to Workforce Development and Administration Manager Nicole Preisner by Nov. 12.

Again this year, the resume wall will also feature a section that promotes schools with irrigation programs. If you’re looking for a way to get the word out about your program, email a PDF copy of your program flyer to Nicole Preisner by Nov. 12.

Free expo passes

Show your students what the irrigation industry has to offer and get them out on the exhibition hall floor during the Irrigation Show! The IA is offering free expo passes to students and educators to the 2019 Irrigation Show and Education Week on Dec. 4-5 in Las Vegas.

At the show, students will have the chance to walk the trade show floor, learn about the latest irrigation technology and discover the wide variety of career paths available in the irrigation industry.

If you are interested in bringing students to the show, contact Workforce Development and Administration Manager Nicole Preisner (703.536.7080) for registration details and the coupon code.
