New IA webinars: The Manufacturer Series

Online learning is one of the easiest ways to absorb new information — it’s convenient, inexpensive and comes straight to you. The IA’s webinars have been successful in offering participants valuable educational information about a wide variety of ag and landscape topics. Building on the success of these webinars, the IA is now launching its new Manufacturer Series.

These 60-minute webinars will be sponsored by IA-member manufacturers and provide valuable information these companies have to share. All webinars are free and open to the public, and participants can earn 1 CEU.

During these webinars, the IA will turn the reins over to manufacturers. These free sessions might include information about new products or how to use specific products, technologies or services. Or, a manufacturer may use it as an opportunity to share ideas for how to grow your business or provide information about their company’s future plans.

The first Manufacturer Series webinar is scheduled for Aug. 22 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern. It is sponsored by Tucor Inc. and is titled: Beyond the Controller – Reevaluating the Industry‘s Approach to Smart Irrigation. Registration is now open for this free webinar.

More webinars will soon be scheduled sponsored by the following ag and landscape manufacturers:

Stay tuned as more webinars are added to the schedule. If you have questions or would like to sponsor a Manufacturer Series webinar, contact the education department (703.536.7080).

Beyond the Controller – Reevaluating the Industry’s Approach to Smart Irrigation

Aug. 22 | 2-3 p.m. Eastern

Sponsored by

The future of irrigation is smart irrigation. However, is your existing system truly smart if

  • it is not connected to all of the valves?
  • it is not measuring flow?
  • it is measuring flow but not at a high enough resolution at low levels for leak detection?
  • there is no practical way to add additional valves?

Larry Sarver, founder and president of Tucor Inc., will present this webinar and discuss new industry technologies that provide retrofit-related opportunities that answer the above questions. Sarver has over 35 years of water management-related experience and was the first to introduce two-wire technology to the U.S. markets.
