States & local governments join IA in celebrating Smart Irrigation Month
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (Aug. 3, 2017) – Each July, the Irrigation Association and industry partners come together to highlight irrigation technology and best practices. Numerous communities, cities and states joined in the promotion of water-use efficiency during Smart Irrigation Month 2017.
“We want to thank all of the stakeholders that worked to carry the efficient irrigation message this July,” said IA’s CEO Deborah Hamlin, CAE, FASAE. “These 18 proclamations recognizing July as Smart Irrigation Month signal the importance of innovative irrigation technologies and practices.”

After another successful Smart Irrigation Month, the IA looks to continue sharing about efficient irrigation and best practices all year-round. It is always the right time to promote efficient water use. It is also never too early to begin thinking about Smart Irrigation Month 2018.
