IA & AOLP continue to bring two industries together

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (Sept. 14, 2017)
— The Association of Outdoor Lighting Professional’s certified low voltage lighting technician exam will once again be offered at the 2017 Irrigation Show and Education Conference on Nov. 7 in Orlando, Florida. The offering is part of an affiliation created to bring the outdoor lighting industry and the irrigation industry together through education, certification and knowledge sharing.

The CLVLT exam is the only national certification of its kind. With no clearly defined national standards for low voltage outdoor lighting, AOLP created this certification test to address this lack of standards. The CLVLT exam measures the knowledge and capabilities of applicants and is specifically for 12-volt systems. The test consists of a written exam and seven half-hour labs. Upon receiving a passing grade, applicants are listed as certified low voltage lighting technicians.

This exam requires advanced registration; onsite registration for this exam will not be available. Email or call 717.238.2504 for more information. Completed registration forms must be received at AOLP no later than Sept. 30.

For more information about other exams being offered at the show, visit the IA website or call 703.536.7080.
