Deadline for 2017 Faculty Academy registration nearing

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (April 6, 2017)
— For a third year, the Irrigation Foundation will hold both agriculture and landscape versions of its Irrigation Faculty Academy. The events allow instructors to network with fellow academics and learn about the latest irrigation-related technologies and techniques that can be used in the classroom.

Both events are free to attend and open to instructors teaching at high schools and two- and four-year institutions. Travel grant assistance is available to qualifying applicants on a first-come, first-served basis with preference given to those whose departmental budgets can contribute partially.

The agriculture program will be held at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln Extension in Grand Island, Nebraska, June 8-9. The registration deadline for this event is April 20, 2017.

The landscape program will be held at the Disney World Horticulture Services in Orlando, Florida, June 15-16. The registration deadline for this event is April 27, 2017.

Those who are IA-certified will receive 11.5 continuing education units for attending Landscape Faculty Academy and 12 continuing education units for attending Agriculture Faculty Academy.

The full schedule and travel information for each event can be found on the Foundation’s website. For more information, contact Foundation Coordinator Nicole Preisner (703.536.7080).
