The Irrigation Association is seeking an education manager in our Fairfax, Virginia, office. The Irrigation Association team is a hardworking group that serves the irrigation industry by promoting efficient irrigation through advocacy and professional development. This position leads the development and execution of quality educational programming, curriculum and conferences, in conjunction with industry volunteers. This position requires excellent written, verbal and project management skills. Candidate should be high-energy, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated and be able to set, manage and meet priorities under quickly changing conditions. As part of a compact team, candidate will also provide administrative and customer service support for the professional development team which includes certification inquiries. The manager will report to the professional development director.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the association’s existing educational programming content and schedule. This includes identifying topics, soliciting and coordinating presenters, working with the communications department to promote all programs, managing the LMS (Knowledge Direct), implementing and analyzing course evaluations, handling all billing issues and all other logistics. Existing programs include IA University, virtual classes, online education, webinars, IA select program, sponsored classes, IA conferences, Train the Trainer, and licensed providers.
- Maintain and analyze education program/products sales and attendance reports to determine the future direction and new opportunities of education programs.
- Lead the IA education committee as the staff liaison.
- Lead the IA technical program committee as the staff liaison.
- Develop monthly education marketing emails working with the communications department staff.
- Work with IA instructors, overseeing their qualifications, teaching preferences and ability to follow IA procedures.
- Oversee book orders and monthly book inventory.
- Maintain and analyze education data including book and class sales and course feedback.
- Resolve education and certification customer service issues, including CEU submissions and completing iMIS processes.
- Drive and manage content on education website pages working with the communications department staff.
- Manage outreach efforts to affiliate member organizations to sponsor education courses and to receive continuing education units.
- Provide support to the IA professional development director as needed.
- Provide general office and phone support.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Three years experience in education or events program implementation
- Experience with learning management systems and/or certification platforms, Microsoft Office and databases
- The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Self-motivated with solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn new skills quickly
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of iMIS, RiSE, HTML, Webassessor and/or Articulate is a plus
Other expectations:
- Travel to the Irrigation Show (one week per year, November or December)
- Full time, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Salary and benefits:
- Salary range is $50,000-$60,000 and commensurate with experience
