Technical Service Providers

Certified irrigation designers with a specialty in sprinkler, surface or drip-micro qualify to become Technical Service Providers for U.S. Department of Agriculture projects through the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

 

 TSPs help land owners, ranchers and agricultural producers protect soil, water and related resources. TSPs:

  • Plan, design, install and audit agriculture projects to implement approved conservation practices.
  • Qualify to work on projects funded by the Farm Bill through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program and Conservation Reserve Program.
  • Are listed in the USDA-NRCS online directory of approved providers.
  • Have access to USDA’s online Agriculture Learning Service.

TSP Program Requirements

To become a Technical Service Provider:

  • Get certified as a CID with a specialty in drip/micro, sprinkler or surface agriculture irrigation.
  • Complete the online TSP application.
  • After Dec. 31, 2010, certified professionals must submit 20 continuing education units per 2-year cycle to remain in good standing. Review CEU requirements or contact the IA office (certification@irrigation.org; 703.536.7080) for more information.
