Advocate for Efficient Irrigation This July

The Irrigation Association will be taking the Smart Irrigation Month message to Congress and communities across the country. Join in the effort by promoting the importance of water-use efficiency in irrigation through letters to your members of congress and by submitting a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.

  1. Send letters to your members of Congress.
  2. Smart Irrigation Month provides a unique opportunity to engage your members of Congress. The letters ask House and Senate members to join us in supporting July as Smart Irrigation Month by taking five steps to promote water-use efficiency in the United States.

  3. Submit a letter to the editor.
  4. Share your knowledge of irrigation by writing a letter to the editor of your local newspaper. Water continues to be a topic of public conversation, and Smart Irrigation Month is an opportunity to communicate to the public about how efficient irrigation can increase agriculture productivity and benefit the environment.
