Established for Colleges The
irrigation industry is enjoying a period of sustained growth. Along
with this growth, comes a demand for skilled, qualified professionals.
The IA Certification Program offers the industry a verifiable method
of establishing an individual's competency. In order to reach out
to individuals who might be contemplating a future in the irrigation
industry, the IA has established an academic track into the Certified
Irrigation Designer (CID) Program for college students. The academic
track is a prescribed mixture of academic preparation and work experience.
This program provides IA members and the industry with compentency standards in areas of irrigation design, system management, contractor methods and procedures and system auditing. IA certified specialists are in demand by both the public and private sectors. Completion of the IA Certification Program means more than simply passing the examinations or studying a series of books or videotapes. Certification with the Irrigation Association is centered around a commitment to excellence in education and practice. It is this dedication that has persuaded over 5,000 irrigation specialists to strive to attain this level of professionalism. We encourage anyone who intends to provide professional assistance in any aspect of irrigation to participate in the Certification Program.
