Foundation Update
The IA Education Foundation is always hard
at work creating new resources for students
and faculty in the irrigation industry.
Currently, there are several new education
modules nearing completion including Basic
Electricity, Electrical Troubleshooting, Ag
Sprinklers, Ag Precipitation Rates, Ag
Drip/Micro and Basic Hydraulics lab
exercise, among others. Additional modules
in progress are Sprinkler Uniformity,
Sprinkler System Efficiency, Drip for the
Landscape and Pumping Systems for Ag and
Landscape, to name a few.
Along with educational resources, the
Foundation has created two career brochures
to assist in outreach to students who are
interested in beginning careers in landscape
water management or agricultural water
management. The brochures were handed out at
the FFA Convention and will be used at other
career fairs the IAEF attends.
The Foundation will again participate in the
PLANET Student Career Days event and will
co-sponsor all irrigation competitions. Next
year it will be held in Pomona, Calif.,
March 26 - 29. Watch www.iaef.org for more
information. |

marketing collateral has been created to aid
the Foundation in its newest fundraising
campaign, which was launched last month. The
latest donor brochure, which was sent to all
IA members, describes what the Foundation
does to promote education and why it is
important to the future of the irrigation
industry to fund the initiatives of the IAEF.

Silent Auction a Success!
The second annual silent auction, held at the

raising almost $3,000. Items up for auction
included two passes to the Indianapolis 500,
iPods and restaurant gift cards, among others.
Thank you to all the companies who donated to

The Foundation would not be able to operate
