| Still Time to Register for Faculty Academy
Registration for the 2011 Irrigation Faculty Academy closes Friday, June 10. If you're an instructor from a university, technical college, community college or advanced high school program, there's still time to join your colleagues in Walla Walla, Wash., June 22-23.
This two-day experiential learning program is comprised of seminars and tours of an irrigation manufacturer and a local vineyard. The agenda consists of both in-class and hands-on learning experiences. Attendees can earn six continuing education units for IA certifications. | Promoting Careers at ASCA Convention
The Irrigation Foundation is committed to creating awareness of potential careers within the irrigation profession. The 2011 American School Counselor Association Annual Conference, held June 25-28 in Seattle, is a key event in helping the Foundation achieve this strategic goal.
The conference brings together over 2,000 school counselors, counselor educators, supervisors and graduate students. Highlights of the event include:
- Education sessions and workshops on the latest techniques in school counseling.
- Networking events that allow attendees to make valuable contacts in their field.
- Exhibit hall with resources for pre-kindergarten to post-secondary counselors.
The Foundation continues to build relationships with this key audience and will be on-site to promote the versatility of career opportunities within the irrigation industry.
