Smart Water Application Technologies
Volunteers are critical to SWAT’s
success, donating time and expertise to develop testing protocols,
promote water-efficient technologies and best practices, and develop
resources for water providers. In exchange for their service, volunteers
enhance their own professional development and benefit their company.
leadership strives to include water provider representatives from each
geographic region of North America to ensure the initiative addresses
these areas’ different water issues. Volunteer leaders are currently
needed for the following groups:
- The Executive Task Team provides general oversight for SWAT,
coordinating efforts among the initiative’s working groups and serving
as a liaison with the IA Board of Directors.
- The Technology Working Group develops science-based testing
protocols for smart irrigation products and defines best practices for
- The Promotions Working Group works to increase awareness of the
importance of water-use efficiency and develops materials that water
providers can use for customer outreach
