Get Involved

Volunteers are critical to SWAT’s success. They donate their time and expertise to develop protocols, promote water-efficient technologies and best practices, and develop resources for water providers. Through their involvement with SWAT, volunteers enhance their own professional development and benefit their company.

SWAT’s leadership strives to include water provider representatives from each region of North America to ensure the initiative addresses water issues. Volunteer leaders are needed for the following groups:

The Executive Task Team provides general oversight for SWAT, coordinating efforts among the initiative’s working groups and serving as a liaison with the IA Board of Directors.

The Technology Working Group develops science-based protocols for smart irrigation products and defines best practices for water-use efficiency.

The Promotions Working Group  works to increase awareness of the importance of water-use efficiency and develops materials that water providers can use for customer outreach.
