Professional Certification

Relevant. Professional. In Demand.

To be certified is to show that one has met the official requirements that are needed to do a particular type of work. If you want to get ahead in the irrigation business, get certified. It’s the best way to tell customers, employees and peers that you know how to get the job done right.

The Irrigation Association has a well-regarded certification program for the irrigation industry. Whether you work in the turf and landscape, golf or agriculture sector or you design, install, audit or maintain irrigation systems, IA certification gives you a competitive edge. More and more projects require certified irrigation professionals.

IA Certifications

The IA’s certifications can help open doors to new opportunities. There are seven individual programs to work toward. As a student, the perfect place to begin is the Certified Irrigation Technician - Academic Track or the Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor - Academic Track. These certifications are a two-step process — one for your institution and one for you. It culminates in taking the CIT or CLIA exam.
