DISTRIBUTOR/DEALER BRANCH MANAGEMENT

  • Responsible for all activities of an irrigation business such as sales, personnel management, product ordering, and business management.
  • Interacts with sales staff, customers, outside sales personnel, counter personnel, delivery personnel, business administrators and business management staff
  • Five to ten years experience in irrigation related disciplines and business management
  • Jobs are available in most mid-sized markets

DISTRIBUTOR/DEALER COUNTER SALES

  • Responsible for the sales activities at the counter of a distribution location. Takes product orders and arranges for shipment of products
  • Interacts with irrigation contractors, manufacturers’ representatives, product delivery and branch management staff
  • Two years previous experience at the branch distribution level
  • Jobs are available in most mid-sized markets

DISTRIBUTOR/DEALER SALES

  • Responsible for generating product sales outside and inside of the distribution location, generating take-offs, bidding and estimating processes
  • Interacts with contractors, specifiers, and manufacturing representatives
  • Travels area of responsibility. Works as a resource for customers
  • Five years experience in irrigation and a strong interest in sales and customer service
  • Jobs are available in most mid-sized markets

DISTRIBUTOR/DEALER REGIONAL MANAGEMENT

  • Responsible for the activities of more than one distribution branch. Primarily sales, personnel management, and business management. May also include irrigation design, product ordering and training
  • Interacts with branch personnel, customers, and manufacturers of irrigation products, regulatory agencies and company staff members
  • Manages overall operation of numerous irrigation branches
  • Five to ten years of business management experience and five to tens years of irrigation experience
  • Jobs are available in large metropolitan areas

IRRIGATION CONSULTANT

  • Develops all phases of an irrigation system that meets the owner’s requirements within the budgetary constraints
  • Interacts with site owners, regulatory agencies, landscape architects, engineers, contractors, staff members, manufacturers of irrigation products and other site development architects
  • Usually manages his or her own business or the irrigation-consulting portion of a larger business.
  • Works on the development of all phases of the irrigation system
  • Ten years experience in the design of irrigation systems
  • Field experience and business management experience are very helpful
  • Jobs are available in some of the major markets

IRRIGATION SERVICES BRANCH MANAGER*

  • Responsible for all activities of an irrigation business such as sales, personnel management, service, construction, design and business management
  • Interacts with sales staff, superintendents, supervisors, maintenance technicians, business administrators and business management
  • Assists as necessary in all parts of the business
  • Five to ten years experience in irrigation related disciplines and business management
  • Jobs are available in most large metropolitan areas

IRRIGATION SERVICES REGIONAL MANAGER*

  • Responsible for the activities of more than one irrigation branch.
  • Primarily sales, personnel management, and business management. May also include irrigation design, service and construction
  • Interacts with branch personnel, customers, and distributors of irrigation products, regulatory agencies and company staff
  • Manages overall operation of numerous irrigation branches
  • Five to ten years of business management experience

IRRIGATION SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT OPERATOR*

  • Operates and maintains construction equipment used to install irrigation systems
  • Interacts with crew supervisor, superintendent, installation staff and other on site contractors
  • Generally works on larger irrigation system installations and moves from one to another based on the needs of the superintendent
  • Two to three years of equipment operation and maintenance
  • Jobs are available in most metropolitan areas or areas of resort development

IRRIGATION SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT*

  • Manages the installation of numerous irrigation systems
  • Interacts with architects, irrigation consultants, customers, general contractors, other contractors, crew members and business management staff
  • Work load runs from one large job at a time to several smaller jobs
  • Five to ten years direct irrigation experience required along with personnel, equipment and business management skills
  • Jobs are available in most metropolitan areas or areas of resort development

IRRIGATION SYSTEM MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN*

  • Services and maintains irrigation systems
  • Interacts directly with customers, distributors of products and company management
  • Generally a great variety in site locations and work to be done
  • Good people skills are a strong plus
  • Three to five years irrigation experience required
  • Good technicians are needed in all areas of the country

IRRIGATION SYSTEM MANAGER

  • Manages the use of the irrigation system in the most efficient manner
  • Interacts with the property owner, contractors, site maintenance staff and local water providers
  • Three to five years irrigation system management experience required
  • Jobs are available in some major metropolitan markets and/or major resort areas
  •  These positions are most often found in Golf Courses, Parks and Large Developments 

LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION WATER AUDITOR

  • Audits irrigation system to measure the uniformity of water application Interacts with irrigation consultants, regulatory agencies, irrigation system owners, contractors, irrigation system maintenance personnel
  • By measuring the uniformity of water application, an auditor can make recommendations that may save the site water and power
  • Usually works in a general geographic area with periodic travel
  • Needs a good working knowledge of irrigation systems and must be trained as an auditor

MANUFACTURER OUTSIDE SALES

  • Responsible for the sales of irrigation equipment to all customers relating to irrigation
  • Interacts with contractors, distributors, specifiers, municipalities and manufacturers
  • Generally travels a certain geographic area
  • Five years irrigation experience with 5 years of sales experience.
  • Jobs are available in various areas of the country

MANUFACTURER PRODUCT SUPPORT TECHNICIANS

  • Responsible for providing technical support to irrigation system owners and any other customers involved with irrigation systems
  • Generally works out of one location with periodic travel to provide support to customers
  • Jobs are available in a few areas around the country
