San Diego businesswoman elected to IA Board of Directors
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (Dec. 8, 2017) — The Irrigation Association is pleased to announce that Barbara Booth, president of Rivulis Irrigation Inc. in San Diego, California, has been elected to the IA Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Rivulis in 2014, Booth worked in the irrigation industry for Rain Bird for many years. There, she worked in business development, product development and marketing in landscape irrigation before being promoted to the general manager role for Rain Bird’s Golf Division in 2004. From 2010 to 2014, Booth worked as the vice president of corporate development for Fluidmaster Inc. Booth’s irrigation career has spanned the landscape, golf and agriculture irrigation markets and includes a solid understanding of many products and product applications in each market.
“I believe the IA is a strong industry organization supported by an excellent staff and high-quality industry volunteers. I would be honored to contribute my years of success,” Booth said.
Booth joins additional newly elected board members Michael Dukes, PhD, PE, CID, of Gainesville, Florida; John Newlin, CIC, CIT, CLIA, of North Ridgeville, Ohio; Gene Ross, PE, CID, of Fremont, Nebraska; Monty Teeter of Ulysses, Kansas; and Bryan Wynen, CIC, CLIA, CLWM, of South Bend, Indiana.
The IA Board of Directors establishes the association’s strategic direction, policies and programs. The board monitors current and evolving industry trends, determines strategic priorities, defines public policy positions and acts as stewards of IA’s financial resources. Directors are elected each fall by regular members of the association and represent the diversity of member types and market segments.
