The Toro Company Recognized as Co-Sponsor of the 2017 Irrigation E3 Program

FAIRFAX, VA (Dec. 8, 2016) — Twenty-three students and three instructors from colleges and universities across the country were selected for the Irrigation Foundation’s 2016 Irrigation E3 Program. They will gather in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the 2016 Irrigation Show and Education Conference to learn about the irrigation industry.

Founded in 2012, the E3 program provides students and faculty with exposure, experience and education in the irrigation industry by attending classes, networking with industry professionals and learning about the latest in irrigation technology. Students apply to become E3 Learners and instructors become E3 Leaders.

The Toro Company has been a huge part of the program’s success. Their sustaining sponsorship since inception of the program is a key reason for the increase in applications year over year. When the program began in 2012, there were six total Leaders and Learners, and this year the program has grown to 26 participants.

“Providing opportunities for students and faculty to learn about the latest in irrigation technology is critical to the ongoing success of our industry,” said Judson McNeil, president, The Toro Foundation. “The growth and success of this program is a clear indicator of the importance of the E3 program. Toro is pleased to contribute to this initiative and we look forward to our continued support of this meaningful experience.”

The Toro Company will present the Foundation with a $20,000 check later today at the Irrigation Show and Education Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada for the 2017 Irrigation E3 Program. Through that sponsorship, irrigation E3 Learners and Leaders will receive an education and travel award for the 2017 Irrigation Show and Education Conference. They are selected annually based on an application process.

Irrigation Foundation and The Toro Company representatives will be available at the Irrigation Show in booth 601 at 3:00 p.m. to share their excitement for the partnership, answer questions and provide photo opportunities.
