POSITION AVAILABLE: MARKETING/PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
Position Description: This position reports to the marketing director and supports the marketing team through a mix of administrative, production and desktop publishing duties. The marketing coordinator assists the marketing department in the development and distribution of print publications and brochures, electronic communications, special event support and other marketing materials for the association and its Foundation. Candidate should be high-energy, self-motivated and able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Designs, lays out and provides copywriting support for brochures, fliers, certificates, and other printed matter
- Coordinates printing and mailing of printed matter
- Manages print vendors
- Supports e-mail campaigns and e-newsletters through design, copywriting, distribution and tracking results
- Provides design and copywriting support to web site update efforts
- Organizes and maintains the photo library
- Maintains inventory of printed supplies
- Fulfills marketing request orders from members
- Assists in the management of the association’s logo and branding
- Generates mailing lists, labels and reports from the database
- Provides staff support to the organization’s committees and common interest groups
- Assists in answering the telephone and providing customer service
- Assists in other special projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications: MUST have one to two years of experience in Adobe Creative Suite, desktop publishing, and be proficient in HTML, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, QuarkXPress. Experience with print and digital media. Strong writing and communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Associates or four-year degree in communications, journalism, marketing or graphic design. Strong editing and proofing skills. Familiarity with AP style. Experience with broadcast e-mail production and distribution processes a plus. Database experience also a plus.
Other: Some travel required to industry events.
Type: Full time. 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
